We started TSM because void energy was broken

 In 2020, Darren Ypey and Chris Davis had spent two decades between them watching housing associations lose time and money to the same recurring problem. So they built the specialist void energy management team that housing providers were clearly missing.

Today, TSM provides void energy management to over 1.2 million properties across 100+ UK clients.

Void energy management, end to end

When a property becomes void, the energy doesn’t stop. Someone has to register the supply, take accurate readings, check every bill and chase suppliers when things go wrong. Across hundreds or thousands of empty homes, that work quickly overwhelms a void team. TSM takes it off their hands.

Our void energy management service covers:

• Supplier registration: getting every void property onto the right supply quickly, with accurate start readings.
• Bill validation: checking void energy bills on a 45-day cycle to catch estimated reads, wrong tariffs and missed tenancy dates before they’re paid.
• Debt and disputes: raising disputes with suppliers and following them through to resolution, so landlords don’t pay for energy they didn’t use.
• Meter removal: arranging gas and electricity meter removal for properties void over 90 days, stopping standing charges of up to £1,271 a year per property.
• The TSM Portal: giving void teams a live view of every property, its supply status and its bills in one place.
